Overview

Starting from Manali, this trek winds through the famous Solang Valley. Set 13 km from Manali, Solang has good skiing slopes equipped with an excellent lift. A splendid valley between Manali and Kothi, it also offers views of the glaciers and snow-capped mountain peaks. The trail then goes via Dhundi and Bakartach to enter the Beas Kund glacier, the birthplace of the River Beas.

Day 01 MANALI / SOLANG NALLA / DHUNDI (2840 m ) 3 hours

We will drive to Solang which is 13 km from Manali by jeep. This is a most enchanting glaciated valley, which has been mentioned and visited by European trekkers as early as 1870. The height of Solang Nullah plateau is 2480 meters. At this place are located the mountain huts with indoor sleeping facilities. The old remnant of once the glaciated Lake is clearly visible. In winter this place is used as nursery ski runs for beginners. The water mills are spread throughout the banks of river. The trek will start from here.

Dhundi on the under construction road in the beginning and then after Dhundi it starts getting steep and we leave the road behind. Today we have to cross a couple of streams, some of them have temporary wooden bridges and others have to be jumped across. Today we will camp at Dhundi. Dhundi is another alpine plateau where one has holds of different flowers growing in abundance. From this point one can have the glimpse of Indrasan (6221m) and Deo Tibba (6001m)

Day 02 DHUNDI / BAKARTHACH / (3280 m ) 3-4 hours

Today we will hike up through Bakarthatch. The trek is along the Beas River (Solang Nullah) and has to ford one turbulent stream during the approach and from hop. One has to walk though the forest which is sorrouding with the many high peaks covered with the snow. From here one can have the spectacular view of hanuman tibba which is 6000m and many other peaks which are more than 5000 m. An idle place for camping.

Day 3 BAKARTHACH TO BEASKUND AND BACK TO BAKARTHACH / DHUNDI AND DRIVE FROM DHUNDI TO MANALI. (3340 m ) 5-6 hour

Today we will hike up through Bakarthatch to Beaskund.The trek is along the Beas River (Solang Nullah) and has to ford one turbulent stream during the approach and from top from boulder to boulder. . The height gained is roughly 700 meters and has to trek over loosely held boulders on dying glacier. Beas Kund area itself is a very interesting alpine plateau. Same way we will be coming back till dhundi. A will be there to pick us up from dhundi. And from dhundi to drive back to manali.

All bookings for the tours/treks/camps/ with Himachal Tour and Treks, hereinafter referred to as the "Company" are subject to the following conditions:

1. Every participant is required to fill in and sign an "Indemnity Bond" prior to the commencement of the trip.

2. All cancellations must be in writing signed by the participant and will be effective from the date of receipt by the company.

3. Refund and cancellation:
There will be no full refund.
- If you cancel 7 days before the trip begins Himachal Tour and Treks will retain 30% of the trip cost.
- If you cancel 5 days before the trip begins, Himalayan Yeti Adventure will retain 40% of the trip cost.
- If you cancel less than 7 days before the trip begins, or, are not present when the trip begins, there will be no-refund
- No refund will be payable to any client who voluntarily leaves a trip en-route.

4. The company reserves the right to alter details of the services, facilities, tour/trek and vehicle described in the itinerary at any time, when deemed necessary, reasonable and advisable. During the programme, the decision of the Guide will be final and binding.

5. Maximum efforts are made to ensure the safety of the participant. But Please understand there are certain hazards involved in your adventure holidays which you must accept at your own risk. The company will not be liable for any major illness, injury, death sustained during the trip, nor it will be liable for any uninsured losses of your property.

6. In case any participant falls sick during the programme, the medical, travel, porter and any other expenses has to be borne by the concerned individual. However, primary medical facilities will be made available wherever possible.

7. Any damage, other than that attributable to fair wear and tear, to the equipments by the participants will be billed to you. Our decision on all such matters will be final and binding.

8. In the event of any dispute, all matters will be subject to the sole jurisdiction of the courts of Manali, Himachal Pradesh and the prevailing law of India shall prevail. Recourse to the courts of any other country will not be applicable.

9. While making your booking, it is implied and accepted that you have read and understood all the booking conditions and agree to abide by them.
