Overview

Chandrakhani Pass is one of the most fascinating trek in Kullu Valley. Viewing this enchanting beauty of the nature route passes through the dense forest with variety of botanical species & colourful foliage. Picture perfect and phenomenal scene would be an eye shot. Deotibba Peak, Pirpranjal & Parvati ranges are some of the captivating mountain ranges, a natural beauty which cannot be missed. Malana village has adhered the traditional heritage & culture of the place which can be seen while passing the route.

Chandrakhani Pass is the perfect gateway through the spectacular vistas of wild forests alpine meadows to an ancient village of Malana, which would give you an unforgettable memoir.

Day 01 Reporting Manali.(2050m)

Reporting – Acclimatization – Orientation & Briefing of the trek – Trek Preparation & window shopping
(Sufficient time would be given for visiting market and nearby places)

Day 02 Manali/ Naggar to Naya Tapru (2900m) 6 hrs Approx 10-11 kms.

We will start our trek from Naggar after breakfast. We will passing through number of famous temples in today trek. After crossing Rumsu village the surrounding will suddenly change. We will be passing through the thick jungle of pine tree, walnut, golden oak and wild cherry. After almost 6 hrs of walk we will be at our first camp sight, Naya Tapru. Naya Tapru is a flat area full of grass and surrounded by tall pine trees.

Day 3 Naya Tapru – Chanderkhani Pass (3660m/12000ft) – Malana (2650m) 9-10 hrs Approx 12–13 kms.

Today trek is mix up of gradual walk and hard ascend. It is a very scenic route. You will encounter to many new birds and new herbs for which Chanderkhani is famous. If you have a good luck with you than you can also see wild life also. A lovely trail which leads to pass and offers splendid view of Dhauladhar range, Parvati valley and Malana valley. On the top of Chandrakhani Pass one can have a striking view of Deo Tibba overlooking the Malana and other snow crowned giants on the Spiti border. We descent to Malana which is steep. Evening visit Malana villages and explore local life. Overnight camp/Guest house at Malana

Malana – Malana Dam/Jari (Approx 3–4 kms) – Naggar (1800m)

A descent to Malana river, we cross by bridge and walk through Malana village to enter in Parvati valley. Easy descent until the Malana Dam. After Malana Dam we will get our cab to Naggar. As reached Naggar, take your belongings and check out.

  • Down jacket, all-season sleeping bag, duffel bag and trekking map(in case if you don’t have your own. Down jacket, sleeping bag and duffel bag must be returned after completion of the trip)
  • First Aid Medical Kit(Your guide will carry the Medical Kit but we also advise to bring yourself for your own use, as far as possible)
  • All the required permits and paperwork

All bookings for the tours/treks/camps/ with Himachal Tour and Treks, hereinafter referred to as the "Company" are subject to the following conditions:

  • 1. Every participant is required to fill in and sign an "Indemnity Bond" prior to the commencement of the trip.
  • 2. All cancellations must be in writing signed by the participant and will be effective from the date of receipt by the company.
  • 3. Refund and cancellation:
    There will be no full refund.
    - If you cancel 7 days before the trip begins Himachal Tour and Treks will retain 30% of the trip cost.
    - If you cancel 5 days before the trip begins, Himalayan Yeti Adventure will retain 40% of the trip cost.
    - If you cancel less than 7 days before the trip begins, or, are not present when the trip begins, there will be no-refund
    - No refund will be payable to any client who voluntarily leaves a trip en-route.
  • 4. The company reserves the right to alter details of the services, facilities, tour/trek and vehicle described in the itinerary at any time, when deemed necessary, reasonable and advisable. During the programme, the decision of the Guide will be final and binding.
  • 5. Maximum efforts are made to ensure the safety of the participant. But Please understand there are certain hazards involved in your adventure holidays which you must accept at your own risk. The company will not be liable for any major illness, injury, death sustained during the trip, nor it will be liable for any uninsured losses of your property.
  • 6. In case any participant falls sick during the programme, the medical, travel, porter and any other expenses has to be borne by the concerned individual. However, primary medical facilities will be made available wherever possible.
  • 7. Any damage, other than that attributable to fair wear and tear, to the equipments by the participants will be billed to you. Our decision on all such matters will be final and binding.
  • 8. In the event of any dispute, all matters will be subject to the sole jurisdiction of the courts of Manali, Himachal Pradesh and the prevailing law of India shall prevail. Recourse to the courts of any other country will not be applicable.
